Under the current leadership from Cllr George Duggins this has been almost impossible.

Conservative Councillors in Coventry are calling upon the Council to review maintenance contracts levied upon new build homeowners across the city. Councillor Peter Male (Woodlands Ward) and Councillor Marcus Lapsa (Westwood Ward) have submitted a motion to the forthcoming Full Council meeting.

Cllr Tim Mayer welcome £970 million boost to police funding

Cllr Tim Mayer has welcomed yesterday’s announcement that funding for the police system will increase by up to £970 million next year, the biggest increase since 2010.

Police funding in West Midlands could increase by up to 6.4% in 2019-20 as a result of these changes.

Calls to extend consultation on greenbelt development

A controversial planning application to develop greenbelt land in Eastern Green has been received by Coventry City Council. It follows the approval of the ‘Local Plan’ earlier this year which targeted several greenbelt sites around the city.

The Tile Hill Village Residents’ Group submitted a petition for roads around Tile Hill Village to become a 20MPH  zone including Station Avenue, Cromwell Lane, Duggins Lane, Tanners Lane, Conway Avenue and Nailcote Avenue.
