Gary was elected to serve the people of Woodlands Ward in May 2016 and he's working hard alongside fellow Woodlands Councillors, Peter and Julia for the people of Eastern Green, Allesley Green, Mount Nod, Tile HIll and Bannerbrook Park. As Leader of the Opposition at Coventry City Council he is holding Labour to account and setting out an alternative plan for Coventry. He represents the city on the Local Government Association which meets in Westminster to put forward ideas to Government.

Pupils stranded by cancellation of 360° bus service say parents

The cancellation of the 360 degree bus service by the West Midlands Combined Authority will make it harder for children to get to and from the Westwood Academy. That’s according to angry parents living in Eastern Green. Critics say the replacement for the 360° bus service, the number 43, doesn’t provide an adequate service around school start and finish times.

Huge Greenbelt development planned for flooding hotspot

Councillors representing Woodlands ward have raised concerns at the prospect of more new housing on greenbelt land in an area which has repeatedly suffered from heavy flooding. It was recently revealed that plans are afoot to build 200 new homes on Greenbelt land off Broad Lane that straddles the Coventry/ Solihull border.
