Calls to extend consultation on greenbelt development

A controversial planning application to develop greenbelt land in Eastern Green has been received by Coventry City Council. It follows the approval of the ‘Local Plan’ earlier this year which targeted several greenbelt sites around the city.

That’s according to angry parents living in Eastern Green. Critics say the replacement for the 360° bus service, the number 43, doesn’t provide an adequate service around school start and finish times.

Earlsdon Ward Councillor Allan Andrews has urged the Council to listen to campaigners fighting to retain a 50m swimming pool in the City and not to ‘disregard’ the strength of the petition, which was recently confirmed as being the largest received by the Council, according to its records.
