6,347 drop in unemployment means a brighter future for working people in Coventry

The Deputy Leader of Coventry Conservatives, Councillor Allan Andrews (Earlsdon Ward) has welcomed new figures showing 6,347 fewer people in Coventry claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance compared to 2010 - a 58 per cent drop. This means more people in work, with the security of a good job and a regular pay packet so they can provide for themselves and their families. 

Calls to extend consultation on greenbelt development

A controversial planning application to develop greenbelt land in Eastern Green has been received by Coventry City Council. It follows the approval of the ‘Local Plan’ earlier this year which targeted several greenbelt sites around the city.
