Cllr Gary Ridley, President
Gary has been president of Coventry Conservative Future since 2007. He has previously served as Chairman of CF and is keen for young people to engage and take part in politics. Gary currently serves at the Cabinet Member for City Development and represents Sherbourne Ward on Coventry City Council. He has been selected as the Parliamentary Candidate for Coventry North West.
Gary Says "CF is a tremendous opportunity for young people to take part in real political activity. I am very keen for CF members to get involved with my Parliamentary Campaign as well as influencing policy direction."
Cllr Allan Andrews, Vice President
Allan was born and raised in Coventry and was elected to the City Council on 1 May 2008 to represent Earlsdon Ward. He attended Manor Park Primary and Sherbourne Fields Schools, due to being diagnosed with Arthritis aged nine. He graduated from the University of Kent in 2005.
Following graduation, he worked for a Conservative MEP and the UK Conservative Delegation in the European Parliament. He also spent time working with an MP and Rolls-Royce prior to his election. As well as being a Councillor, Allan is the election agent for the parliamentary campaign in Coventry South.
He is a former Branch and Area Chairman of Conservative Future.
Laura Dodd, Chairman
Laura was elected to serve as Chairman in 2008 and has worked towards increasing membership and expanding the role of CF in Coventry. Laura is also the current Regional Chairman for CF in the West Midlands & Oxfordshire and recognises the importance that CF has in driving the Conservative Party forward.
Laura says;
"The role of CF in Coventry has grown and grown. Conservative Future now has three City Councillors in Coventry and a Parliamentary Candidate so there is a real opportunity for members to get involved."
